Angelique Salazar, Owner, Crafty Fox
Angelique Salazar is a long-time, award-winning Denver entrepreneur and Colorado native who is passionate about creating opportunities that meld neighborhood, community and business. With those goals in mind, she opened the Crafty Fox Tap House and Pizzeria in February 2016. Located one mile from Downtown Denver, her family-friendly restaurant serves up 60 taps of craft beer, many brewed in nearby neighborhoods and along the Front Range.
Family is important to Angelique, and giving back is in her blood. She’s well known for being an advocate for less fortunate individuals in her community by raising money for the homeless, and providing free meals to workers during strikes or on furlough. She is also active in the Salazar Family Foundation, the local philanthropic organization established by her parents to serve classrooms via scholarships and literacy programs. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Latino Donor Collaborative.
She combined her entrepreneurial spirit with her compassionate attitude in 2010 to create U Lucky Dog, a boarding and daycare facility in Denver.
Angelique’s roots grow deep in Colorado. She serves as vice president of her family’s investment management firm, Central Street Capital, Inc. It manages all her family’s investments, including the 960-bed Regency Student Housing Community and the Villas at the Regency in Denver. She is a member of the Mile High Business Association, the International Boarding and Pet Services Association, the International Association of Canine Professionals and the Colorado Association of Dog Daycares.
Angelique graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with a bachelor’s degree and lives in Denver with her two children. She strongly believes when you serve your neighborhood and your community, your customers will treat you like a longtime friend, welcomed with a glass of beer and a familiar, smiling face.
